One of the first models produced in the Aristo-Craft Heavyweight Passenger
Car Line where cars for the Central Railroad of New Jersey Blue Comet. These
cars along with the Blue Comet Pacific have become a highly prized item
for many modelers. Now Aristo-Craft will re-introduce the CNJ Blue Comet
as part of our Prime Mover line of Train Sets!
Central Railroad of New Jersey operated a first class passenger train between
its Jersey City Terminal across the Hudson River from New York City to the
resort city of Atlantic City NJ. The train operated during the 1930’s
featured blue Heavyweight Passenger cars with a blue Pacific steam locomotive.
Each Heavyweight car was named after a comet. PACIFIC 4-6-2 STEAM LOCOMOTIVE
